Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell Therapy

CAR T cell therapy is a form of immunotherapy that takes these cells from a sample of a patient’s blood, modifies them so that they will recognize the patient’s cancerous cells and multiplies them in the lab. The patient receives an infusion of the cells, which attack any cancerous cells and destroy them.
